The classic joke about people who work at home is that they do most of their work while still in pajamas. While that might be true, the reality for lawyers who have home or virtual offices is that they see clients and often have to wear more traditional legal attire and need to meet in more traditional offices. The economy may be in a recession, but that doesn’t mean that injustice is. Everyday, thousands of individuals are left without a voice because they do not have access to legal aid. Despite a recent influx of over $40 million in federal funding to legal aid providers, those providers are only able to assist approximately one-half of the eligible clients seeking their help.
Law Clerk Connection hopes to improve this dismal statistic by partnering with non-profit organizations, pro-bono attorneys and low/no-cost legal services attorneys. (more…)

What is all the hype about virtual law offices? Why make the change? How can I make the change?
Well, there are many reasons to consider virtual law practice: the reduction in high over-head; long commutes; over-use of paper products and energy; long, soul-draining hours…you know I could go on, but this article is about making positive changes for yourself, for society and for the planet.
